“He is. As are all the others you met in the last few days, other than the one federal agent assigned to us.”
Ginna frowned. “Not the kids, I hope.”
“No,” Con told Ginna with a smile. “The kids were Van’s doing.”
“He’s good with them and certainly has their loyalty.”
“Each of the people who work for me has their own skills, for lack of a better word. That’s one of his.”
She nodded. “I’m not certain what I could offer you though.”
Waiting until she was looking at him again, Con said in a low voice meant to stress his words, “I’d like to place you on Vance’s team. He has, shall we say, issues surrounding females.”
“I know.” Ginna smiled slightly at the look of surprise on his face. “A bit of it he’s told me, some of it I figured out from working with him on the Lyon thing. But why do you think, and you apparently do, that I can be of any help with it?”
“Because it was his suggestion I ask you to join us.”
“Wow. All right.”
