Tyler continued to hold him. “I’m sorry about this disease he has. It sounds like he’s taken the issue well.”

“More than me. He told me by the second date that this would happen.”

“Second date, huh?”

“Yeah, he told me that was already falling in love with me on the first date.”

“Wow, you must have made a good impression.” Tyler laughed. “Should I even ask what happened on the first date?”

“Nothing dirty,” Chad laughed. He liked how Tyler made him feel at ease, and made him laugh. “It was mutual trust me. Brick’s still got his looks but he’s got the weariness around his eyes. I know he’s worried about us, about the disease.”

“So a sweet first date.”
