Chapter 26

“Who are you?”

“Rita Johnson.”

Dion sighed as he crawled around on the floor and picked up all of his tools. He had to sterilize them before he could continue dealing with the dead body on the table. He knew of some morticians who wouldn’t bother to do that. They claimed that the corpses wouldn’t be affected anyway. After all, they weren’t alive anymore. However, Dion refused to buy into that line of thinking. He believed that everyone deserved their dignities, including the dead ones. When he finally stood, he glanced at Rita.

“Ms. Johnson—”

“Mrs. Johnson, please.”

“Right. Mrs. Johnson, how may I be of assistance to you?”
