“Wait…” he leaned over and shut off the recording. “Okay. Please continue.”

I laughed and rolled him on top of me for one last passionate night before I went back to reality.

I left for King the next morning. Omar saw me off to the airport, thanking me for all the time I put in and assuring me this would be the last time we’d need to travel to Nashville to record anything for this album.

“Thanks for everything, Omar. I really appreciate all the work you’re doing. We all do. Whatever you need from us, just let us know.”

“I’ve been trying to work out some new gigs for you. Big concerts and things like that. If I can swing it, you’ll be opening for a huge band within a month of your album debut, if not earlier.”

“Oh! Can it be Neon Trees? I love them.”

“I’ll see what I can do.”
