“We, um, we broke up. I mean, I don’t even know if we were officially dating. We aren’t going to see each other anymore.”

“Oh. I’m sorry to hear that.” But, oddly, Casey didn’t look sorry at all. He looked out the window and smiled. He was probably just happy to be out of rehab.

Things began to slowly fall into place for Casey and the rest of us. We went back to recording a few days after he got out, and he was on the ball. We finished a whole song the first day. It looked like we were going to be done with our second album soon.

Omar tentatively began booking us dates for appearances on TV shows, this time adding in Canada. We were going international! I mean, Canada’s not that far, but still.
