“I’m trying so hard and sinking deeper every day. Thank you so much for the job at Sunset. This Christmas I’ll be able to get her a real tree instead of the little ceramic one we had last year, and real presents. The only decent things I was able to get her last year were the table and chairs in her room. I found them in the dumpster and cleaned, bleached them and re-sanded the wood and painted it with white lacquer. Then I stenciled tulips on the top of the table and the back of the chairs. So for Christmas, I was able to give her two presents, it was the table and chairs and the cute little sneakers that lit up.”
“What was your major in school, art?” Zach asked.
