I would have had to ask Edith if she’d babysit Bella along with Kitty-cat and that wouldn’t have been fair to Kitty, Bella or Edith.” Jack got up and put the dishes and glasses in the dishwasher.


“From the few times I’ve met her, I think Edith is an accomplished woman. She would have managed with both children, but Kitty wouldn’t have gotten the one-on-one attention she receives now.” Carlo wiped down the table.
