The doorbell rang. “He’s here!” Danny literally danced to the door. Widget followed barking.


Gary watched as Caden was greeted by an exuberant Danny and an excited Widget. Caden barely had a chance to put down his duffle before Danny jumped up into his arms. “You seem to be healthy, Squirt, but you haven’t grown an inch.”


“It’s not my fault that I take after Mom and you take after Dad. I’m so glad to see you that I won’t even punch you for calling me that name.” Gary walked up behind Danny and extended his hand, Widget dancing at his feet.
