“I’m going to be done here in about fifteen minutes Caden. Do you want to go look at the house?”


“I’m not going to take charity.” Caden came over to where Danny stood.


“You big dummy, it not charity, it’s a sublet from Gary,” Danny said, exasperated with his brother for being so stubborn.


“Then how come it’s so cheap?” Caden crossed his arms in front of his chest.


“The house sat empty until Master Drummond found someone he trusted to rent it. It’s on his property and he is very protective of Brian so he gave me the house at a price he knew I could afford in case things with Gary didn’t work out.”


“Hmmph…and Gary is stuck with the lease for a year?” Caden’s tone was still suspicious.
