“You can hire movers and put their things out on the street. Call me back with the young man’s decision.”
“Thanks, Jim. I appreciate the heads up.”
“No problem. We take care of our own.”
Just as Tom hung up the phone the others arrive en masse. “Who was that on the phone, Tom?” Robbie asked.
“I’ll tell everyone over lunch,” Tom said smiling.
Mrs. Santorre served lasagna with sausage and meat filling. It was dripping with mozzarella and provolone cheese that was layered with ricotta and meat.
Brian was practically jumping up and down. “Mrs. Santorre made tiramisu and because I didn’t have sugar for breakfast, I can have a piece.” Bear looked at Brian indulgently.
Everyone sat down around the table. Today the subs ate with their Masters on chairs. “If the subs keep matching everyone up, I’m going to have to get a larger table,” Bear said.
