The Doms came out of Bear’s study. Reed gave Jim a bald stare. “Don’t look so innocent, I know you all know what we are planning. You listened at the door.”
“Can you do this, Robbie?” Bear asked. “You have to get him on tape telling you he gave Teague the drugs to sell.”
Robbie thought about it for a moment, looked at Tom and said, “I can do it. I want to be free of Teague, his wife and the Benzanos and if I don’t do this I’ll always be looking over my shoulder. I don’t want us to live our lives in fear.” Tom shook his head.
“It’s settled then. There is a diner here in Hamilton that should do fine. Tom, your friends will be sitting in the diner with female officers to look realistic. Mr. Sayer should stay outside as backup, his face is too well known.” Mancini looked at Tom. “Do you still have a license to carry in New Jersey?”
“I do and so do Caden, Bull and Reed.”
