Chapter 52

“Frankie, would you and your men like some breakfast? I’m sure Isabel heard the commotion and is already cooking.” Julien smiled at the man who had become a friend in such a short time.

“I’d love a cup of coffee.”

Richard came down the stairs, dressed but still sleepy-eyed. “Mon ange, I promise that you’ll get a nap this afternoon. Frankie caught Stawski. Detective Sergeant Murphy picked him up and hauled him away. No more worries.”

“Thank you.” Richard shook Frankie’s hand. Julien was about to growl but realized Richard was merely grateful and polite.

“Let’s eat.” The two men, along with Denis and Charles, followed Julien into the dining room.

Julien and Richard said good-bye and thank you to their guests.

Julien pulled Frankie aside. “Have one of your men bring over eight copies of your résumé. I’ll see it gets to the rest of the board.”
