Chapter 14

There was a panhandler and a gang of rowdy kids on the train. Rafe put his arm around Justin’s shoulders and kept him close.

They got off the train after one stop. Rafe took Justin’s hand. “I’d like to take you out to dinner tomorrow night. You still have Sunday off?”

“Yes, and I’d love to go to dinner with you.” They took the tunnel to the Sixteenth Street exit and walked up the steps.

“I’ll pick you up here tomorrow for dinner…Be careful tonight and tomorrow. If that son of a bitch made bail, he may come after you. Remember I’m two doors down and have a bat.” Justin realized Rafe was serious. Rafe actually worried about him.

They walked up the stoop into the vestibule. Rafe pulled him into his arms and kissed him; this time opening Justin’s mouth with his tongue. Their tongues dueled in Justin’s mouth, the kiss deeper, more passionate than any of the others. “Bring your duffle bag with clothes for Sunday and Monday, mi corazón. I’ll be here for you at seven tomorrow.”
