Chapter 26

Let’s back up to yesterday afternoon, shall we? After I left Split, I went for a ride around the city, which ended up turning into a stroll down my memory lane. First, I drove by Concordia University and reminisced on my student days, and then, I rode up to Doctor Penfield Boulevard where Nathan and I used to live. I parked the bike in the posh street and walked to our old address overlooking the McTavish reservoir.

I haven’t heard from Nathan in years. A mutual friend of ours dined at Split a while ago and told me that Nathan is living in Toronto now, and married to Joaquim, the man he took to Milan after we broke up. Joaquim, the bell boy, as I will eternally call him.
