“I’ll be there. Just like every other year, okay?”

“Okay. I trust you. What should I read?”

“I picked out something perfect. See you tonight.”

When I opened my eyes, a book entitledNon Huis Hundi was lying at my feet.

“I’d like to check this out.” As I brought it to the counter, I had to hold it in front of another part of my anatomy.

“Oh. I’ll just…Bye.” I grabbed the book and bolted. “Happy Halloween!”

“Yeah, whatever.”
