Chapter 15

“So what do you say?” April asked. “Do you have time to see?”

“Yes,” Rowan said. There was no other answer.

The inside of the clothing store wasn’t nearly as crowded as the rest of the mall. April soon explained that while they did sell off the rack items, and often had a lot of sales, they didn’t bother competing with Black Friday. “It’s enough madness already,” April said, gesturing to the wild displays in the other parts of the mall. She soon went onto explain that their main products were mostly designer fare that didn’t mix with a current collection or were otherwise discarded. Wedding and prom dresses lined the area, complete with suits and tuxedo jackets. “We also do a lot of tailoring, just to be sure stuff fits right, and so that’s why your mom was here.”
