Chapter 33

“I…I love it.”

“You do?” April said. Her smile was as wide as it had been when she was working behind the scenes at the high school theater. “I’m so glad. Do you want to try it on?”

Rowan nodded and soon April was getting out her keys for the store. As she flicked on the lights to the back room, Rowan slipped an arm around April’s waist. She pressed a kiss to her neck, combing back her hair so she could caress the tender area that she knew she loved. April shuddered and allowed their bodies to come together again. The suit could wait. They still had lots of time to the wedding tonight at sundown.

For now, or at least for the next hour, Rowan had some time to make up.

“If it’s okay with you,” Rowan said in a hushed breath as she broke their heated make-out session. “I just want to continue to do this for a while. We can still make it to the wedding.”

“Me too?”

“Yes,” Rowan said, realizing how much she wanted that. “If you are willing—”
