Edan snorted. “We’re not stupid.”
“I’m not betting on that,” Gideon said under his breath before asking Delilah, “Can you do what you’re planning now, so we can get going?”
“Yes,” she replied succinctly at the same time Edan said, “We’re not leaving until morning. We need to be well rested before we tackle this.”
Edan wasn’t terribly surprised when he heard Gideon say in his head, chuckling, ::Define ‘well rested’.::
