“It’s a police station.”
“You’re handing me in?” He frowned at Thad.
“Is there something you’ve done I should know about?”
Sandulf shrugged and Thad grinned. “I work here.”
“You said you worked with Ric.”
“I do.” Thad rubbed his forehead. How long had Ric been a detective? Thad, like the rest working in the Paranormal Investigations Department, got a different education than the mundanes. They only had to study for a year. It was an around the clock education with no days off, but a year went by pretty fast.
“Ric works at a police station?” Sandulf gave him a disbelieving look. “We’re working as night club bouncers when we aren’t doing pack work. He’s not a cop.”
“Ric’s a detective.”
“Damn right, I am.” Ric took two steps at a time when he came up behind them. “Where the hell have you been, Thad? We’ve tried calling you several times.”
“Ah…yeah…We need to…talk.” Thad studied Ric as he came to a stop next to him, waiting for him to notice Sandulf.
