“Sometimes, it’s hard enough to tell someone you have feelings for them when opposite sexes are involved. If someone feels something for a friend of the same gender, and doesn’t even know for sure if that friend would be receptive…”
“I said, point made.”
“Which one would you pick?” Kat made kissing sounds. “Richie or Adam? Adam or Richie? Richie andAdam?”
“Stop.” Ben laughed some more. “And I don’t know.”
“I think you do,” Kat challenged. “Oh! Check your e-mail. Maybe whoever left the gifts sent a note. Richie or Adam? Adam or Richie? Make the Shrimp kiss the clock.”
“Maybe later.” Ben sat at the small desk between the two beds—his and Richie’s—and booted up his laptop. “Richie’s mad at me, anyway.”
“Why?”
Ben explained the scene at Club Gold.
“Yikes.”
“Yikes is right.”
“Except, once you explain you turned Booger down because of him…Rich, I mean…I’m sure he’ll fall right into your arms.”
“I hope so. Hmm.”
