For a long moment, Dylan didn’t speak. Then he opened his arms. “Will you let me hold you?”

I should have been embarrassed at how quickly I leaned into him, letting him take my weight. When he lay back, I went with him, draping my body over his. He wasn’t that much smaller, only a couple of inches shorter and a few pounds lighter, though he wasn’t as broad. It took a little wiggling, but I was able to find a comfortable position. When he put his hand in my hair and rubbed my scalp, I practically purred.

“Oh, that’s even better than your ‘giving in’ sigh,” Dylan murmured with a chuckle. “Let me tell you what I want, and then you can decide if you want it, too, okay?”

“Okay,” I whispered and was rewarded with a kiss in my hair.
