Chapter 72

Catrina snickered. “Yeah. That sort of people. Anyway, her husband was just as bad, and he cheated on her with many other women. To worsen the situation, her children didn’t like her. Having said that, she really had no intention of killing herself.”

“Is her soul still at home?” Benjamin asked.

“Yeah,” Catrina replied. “She doesn’t want to cross over. She doesn’t even want to die.”

Benjamin laughed. “As if she has a choice. She’s already dead.”

“That’s why it’s your job to persuade her to move on.”

Benjamin arched his left eyebrow at Catrina. “I’m not sure if I can do that. I may end up dragging her to the side of the river instead.”

“Do it then,” Catrina agreed with a nonchalant shrug. “Angela shouldn’t be permitted to remain on the mortal plane. Her rightful place is in hell where she awaits her punishment and her chance of being reborn someday.”
