“Uh.” The man blushed and shuffled his feet nervously.

Troy forced himself back into professional mode. “I can issue warnings, however. But as I don’t have my pad with me,” he didn’t actually have one, “I’ll just give you a verbal warning. Fix your light, tire and wiper washer fluid.”

“Uh, yeah.” The guy practically jumped into the cab of his truck and drove off.

“Fuck you very much,” Troy muttered before focusing his attention back on the people in the Chevy. “Just gonna do a quick scan to see what’s what, okay?” he told Alan, the passenger.

“Okay, but Steve’s already done that.”

“I know. I can scan for different things. Don’t worry, it’s painless and will only take a few seconds.”

“Troy’s a tuohygan, I’m only a sotan,” Steve said.

“Don’t put yourself down,” Lee, the driver, said.

“Exactly,” Troy said. “Okay, all done. No broken bones, just a bit of bruising. I’m sure you’ll hurt like a bitch tomorrow though.”
