“You should eat,” Cashel urged the woman. “Let me stay with Gregor for now.”

“And you should eat andsleep,” Eden said, rising from her chair. “But I will see to some food. I had to send Sheela to her bed, tired as she was. Evie and Tansy will be sleeping now, too.”

“I’ll be fine,” Cashel said. “I’d get you the food myself, though I fear I’d take so long.”

Eden tutted. “That horse of yours. We must find you a more agreeable one.”

“Cah-ha-ha,” I crooned to myself.
