Chapter 31

Miguel looked pensive, then he gazed at me, scooted closer, and took my hand. “Do you want to play, or…?”

My eyebrows rose high. What? Wow. What had gotten into this Christian dude? He was supposed to be religious! Juanito was practically the devil creeping into Miguel’s thoughts with his corruption. Miguel was a sweet guy, really kind, with morals and family values, just like Mami had told me. Had it not been true? But then again, the moments he and I had had meant so much the more I kept thinking about them. Fuck. I was torn, but at the same time, the realization that Miguel had asked to play even despite the warnings got me a little erect, if just because he might be willing to strip.

“I think he wants to play,” Juanito said with a subtle smirk. “He’s just acting shy for whatever reason.”

Miguel stroked my cheek. “Aw, don’t be shy. It could be fun, right?”
