The Deal Breaker

A while later, Kent and Jesse left. Jordan sat on the couch. Henrietta jumped up on his lap. He pulled her close and buried his face in her soft, curly hair. He let the reality that his relationship with Spenser was over sink in. After a time he sat up. He took a deep breath and willed himself to let go, to find some way to move on. Henrietta looked up at him.


“I think we both need some fresh air. Wanna go for a walk?” he asked her.
