Chapter 6

Fifteen minutes later the dumpster behind the place is on fire and Templeton Fire Department is on site, putting the fire out. Chaos erupts. News crews, police, neighbors, and an ambulance arrives at the dumpster. It embarrasses me, as the owner of Speedy In, Speedy Out.

Pissed off, the police take after a kid dressed as a fireman; that’s all the detail I can give, believing him the only suspect. And Trevor Strap of WTMP shoves a mic in front of my mouth as if it were a big and thick dick. The blond, fresh-out-of-college cutie expects an answer from me when he asks, “Tell me what happened inside your store that led up to the fire?”

Although Trevor is adorable, a toy for any queer’s pleasure, and far too young for me, I push his mic away, and tell him, “There’s no story here, young man. Run along.”
