Chapter 41

“I’m cuming, Ethan. I’m there!”

I think I spoke the warning aloud, but am not sure. At that moment, electrical charges running up and down my belly flowed into my ball sack. I came. I gushed, and Ethan took it all. He stayed down on me until I pulled him up. He did the eye avoidance thing until I took his chin and placed his face directly in mine. I had to see his eyes. To read his feelings. Did this gladden him, or was it an obligation for my hospitality.

The laughing eyes and broad grin told me what I needed to know. Yet, when it faltered, I knew his thoughts. How did he compare?

“Thank you, Ethan. It means more than you know.”

“I’ve wanted to do that since I first saw you. But I knew Winter Bird stood between us.”

“I wasn’t wise enough to accept his love in the way he wanted.”

“I know. We talked on the trail.”

“Can you share his words?”
