“Oh. Uh…” Ethan scratched the back of his head. “It…never really came up, I guess.” He turned to Finn and cleared his throat. “I’m Indian. Well, a quarter Indian anyway.”

“Ethan’s grandmother married an American at a young age,” Nik explained. “My sister seemed to have the same tastes in men.”

Finn looked between them. “So your real name is—?”

“Eeraja Teller, yeah. Teller’s my grandpa’s name. When I was little I just went by ‘Ethan’ because it was easier for people to say. Ended up being a good idea when it came to acting.”

“Wait…” Finn’s brows creased. “If Teller’s your grandpa’s name, then what about your dad?”

Ethan shrugged. “Beats me. Mom had a one night stand with some stage actor. Nine months later, I happened.”

“I…I never knew.” A wave of embarrassment hit him and Finn stared at his menu. “I always thought they were just misspelling your names on your pill bottles and…”

“Hm?” Ethan blinked at him. “Hey, it’s fine. Don’t worry about it.”
