Chapter 59

“But it’ll sure as hell feel good.”

There was complete silence on set. No one moved; no one dared. After weeks of good days and bad, Ethan Teller, with only a few lines, made the world go still. Finn, on the sidelines, watched as Marty, transfixed, motion to the camera man.

“Tell me you got that.”

They did a couple following takes, but the magic was there. By the time they were finished filming, Ethan felt accomplished. He made his way to wardrobe to change, when Marty caught his attention first. The director seemed pleased and smiled boldly at his star actor.

“Good job today, Ethan.”

“Thanks, Marty. Those new lines were awesome, so I can’t take all the credit.”

Marty chuckled. “Hey, listen. We’ve got a lot of B roll to film tomorrow. How’s your hand doing?”

Ethan lifted it. He hadn’t needed a brace for at least two weeks now. “Works fine.”
