“This is a big surprise,” I tell him, taking the beer, kicking off my boots. “Aren’t you supposed to be spending the night with Cliff?”
“He has a migraine and wanted to be alone. I thought I’d feed you and…maybe you could feed me after you eat.” He helps me out of my winter jacket and tassel cap.
“What did you have in mind to eat?”
“I’m a big carnivore,” he says, placing my boots, jacket, and other winter things in the closet in the foyer.
“So meat is your thing?”
He nods and pulls me into the small dining room. “I like to get the meat sweats. Most guys don’t. I’m pretty rare, though.”
I wink and have a seat at the table like a king.
He winks and says, “Get comfortable. Dinner is heating up.”
“We can skip dinner and feed you protein.”
He waves a finger at me, shakes his head. “You need some energy first before you can feed me.”
“Sounds like a plan,” I tell him. Appreciate everything he does for me. Everything he is as a man. Everything his heart has to offer. All of him.
