“Cat got your tongue?” Alec greeted.
“I didn’t know you wore glasses.”
He reached up and touched the side of the earpiece in a strangely self-conscious gesture. “My contacts were bothering me, so I decided to wear my glasses instead.”
“I like them.”
Alec arched his brow skeptically. “Really?”
“Yeah. They’re…” Realizing he was about to pay Alec a compliment, he stopped himself. “Not bad.”
“Gee. Thanks. That’s exactly what I was shooting for when I got dressed.”
“Are you saying you got dressed up for me?”
“I tried to make myself presentable.” Alec closed the space between them, his fingers hooked in his pockets. “I can see I’m not the only one.”
“This is just what I wore to dinner.”
“Your hair is still damp from your shower.”
