That might well have been the case, but Drew thought they’d both feel better if they had some closure on the situation.

Nicholas Bosco was a well-known land developer in the greater Los Angeles area. Before the housing bubble had burst, he had probably made millions. Judging from his choice of vacation, Drew would guess that he hadn’t lost the shirt off his back when the market crashed. The market hadn’t completely dried up in the area, though, and his business still appeared to be thriving. He had a very respectable public persona, but there was basically nothing on his private life. Drew knew people—Alec insisted he knew everybody in Los Angeles. That was an exaggeration, but Drew could admit that it was only a small one. And, as far as he could tell, nobody in the area had ever dated Nicholas Bosco, or knew anybody who had. But he wasn’t married, nor was he romantically linked to any women. He had an office in Glendale and a home in Pasadena.
