Chapter 11

A man who wanted Michael to be more than a lover.

His hand shook as he took the box. “This…I never…” He took a deep breath. “Okay, for the record, you reallydidn’t mess that up.”

“That’s a relief. I didn’t think this sort of thing has instant replay. Try it on.”

With something to do, his hands weren’t quite as traitorous as Michael took it from its plush setting. He hesitated a moment before choosing to slide it onto the ring finger of his right hand. Tre might have taken the traditional approach with his gift, but he still had a career, and they still had to be discreet. This way, they would know, but the biased world Tre was forced to travel in for his career would not.

The ring fit perfectly.

“I think it’s my turn to say this is the nicest thing anybody has ever given me. Except nice doesn’t even begin to cover it, I don’t think.”
