Dismounting Maple, Violet approached the Apaches. Tiger caught sight of her and stood, flashing her a warm smile. “I wish I knew how to thank you,” she said, hands on her hips. Her eyes skimmed the Apaches’ haul. “Though I guess this was good for both of us.”
Tiger said something Violet couldn’t make out. He then put his hand to his chest, almost in a gesture of solidarity. Not knowing what else to do, Violet mimicked it. Tiger smiled wider and turned back to his warriors.
