Chapter 10

“Is there anything else we need to discuss at the moment,” Gideon asked, looking at the others.

“Yes,” Lou replied. “Presuming everything falls together with my leasing the place, we’ll need to hire a company to come in and redo the interior. I also know of a good security company we can use.”

“All right. It will undoubtedly take a day or two for the lease to be approved. Once it is, we’ll get started. The sooner we open, the better.”

“I can’t think of anything we’ve missed,” Rory said. “Although, knowing me, I will ten minutes after we leave.”

“You too, huh.” Lou chuckled. “That happens to me more often than I like to admit.” He was surprised that Rory didn’t come back with some smart-ass comment. As a matter of fact, now that I think of it, he’s managed not to most of the evening. Is he mellowing out? Or maybe he just figures this is too serious to keep trying to push buttons? Either way, I hope it lasts.
