The muscles around her lips tightened. “Here are the facts. You’ve been seeing a mystery guy. You also weren’t in your room last night, because the door was open when I went to the bathroom, and being the concerned mother that I am, I wanted to check up on you. But you were gone. I also know you were gone that one random morning when I woke up dazed. Yet I let it go. I convinced myself that there must be some reasonable explanation. Apparently, I’m a moron, though.”
