“Yeah, right!” came from down the hall.


After two days in limbo, Rapunzel, Cillian, and Zoe were ushered into a large room along with a host of officials and soldiers. No one wore protective clothing this time, and there were a lot of new faces. A screen covered the far wall. They turned the lights down, and the sound of a voice filled the room. “We have docked with the Educator. Eleven-hundred local time.”


“Copy that,” said another voice, this time from some official at an unknown location.


Cillian knew they were watching the people sent to kill Whalen. All of them had been briefed a day before. He didn’t think his daughter should see dead bodies, so he asked Jack to stay in the room with her while he attended. “This is going to get graphic. I just know it.”
