It was stupid for Marc to be annoyed about sharing the garage. Lacie had never told him that it was only his. He’d just made that assumption. And Sora was right, it was plenty big enough for both of them, especially if Sora was just going to sit at the work bench and paint or whatever. Still, the idea of having his own garage had been so amazing while it lasted. He’d already ordered all the supplies for painting his car.

He returned to the living room, and Lacie honed in on his mood like a missile.

“Why do you look pissed?” she asked.

“I don’t,” he replied, surprised.

“You do.”

He sighed. “Nothing. I was just excited to have a garage.”

She looked past him to the mudroom door, her brows drawn. “Is it not there anymore?”

“No, I just didn’t know he was going to be doing stuff out there too.”

Understanding dawned on Lacie’s face, and she said, “Ohhhh. Well, let’s hash this out on day one.”
