Chapter 66

“How’s Graham?” Alec asked, striving for what he hoped sounded like normalcy.

“Cranky, which means he’s doing great. Martin’s doing a healing spell on his ribs so he doesn’t need one of us to go to the bathroom or get dressed. I slipped out to give them some privacy.” He edged closer. “How’re you? Did you sleep well?”

“I should be asking you that. Did you sleep at all? Am I an asshole because I did?”

Rowan laughed. “No, I slept. A lot better than I thought I would, too. Thank you. That was all you.”

The compliment stoked the heat higher. Damn it. He was falling under the spell of the first rush of a relationship—even a friends with benefits one—harder than was healthy. eldquo;I think being exhausted helped. rdquo;
