“He’s here.” The loud music forced him to raise his voice, which sent his gaze jumping around to his neighbors to see if anybody noticed. Not a single glance in his direction. Good. “He’s wearing black skinny jeans and a burgundy fringed scarf over a chambray shirt.”

“What’s chambray?”

“Like denim, but lighter.”

“Why is he wearing a scarf in Miami?”

Rowan’s confusion was adorable, but now wasn’t the time to indulge it. “It’s just for show. Don’t worry, you’ll recognize him.”

He hung up quickly, nervous about pushing his luck with the charm. Two minutes later, Rowan sauntered into the club, and as far as Alec was concerned, the world stopped breathing.
