But he wouldn’t share that fact with Amy. So far he’d managed to hide the full extent of his new addiction to Grant’s forecasts. She didn’t need to know that his DVR was set to capture and preserve each live broadcast, and the web feed kept him company many lonely nights after class.

Some things even his best friend didn’t need to know. He reached up, his sweatpants sliding precariously down his hips as he stretched for the precious metal device.

“What’s the point of having a remote control if you have to get up and go get it?” he whined to the empty room.

He stayed on the floor, his arms and legs both felt as heavy as his weighted eyelids. Craig yawned, his jaw stretching wide. He had worked his ass off today and now that he was reclined there was no way he was moving back to the couch. He needed to remember to compliment Amy and her boyfriend; they had a really comfortable carpet.
