One final meal together as a group before everyone moved on to bigger and better things.

Heather had gotten a lot less bitchy and more accepting over the past couple years, especially after landing Sam—an honest-to-goodness straight boy with no inclinations into the pants of other boys, but no stereotypical hang-ups against gays either. She’d popped the question to him a few months back, and he seemed genuinely happy to be marrying her. Or so we thought. It wasn’t worth getting into with them; I’d learned not to interfere with Heather’s love life, not after I’d stolen her last man from her.

Min was going into business with her mom—they were going to sell herbal and eastern remedies online. She had bought a condo downtown, so we’d still see lots of her, which was great; that girl was still my BFF, and nothing would change that.
