Dane is destined for greatness, his boyfriend Krish just knows it, but first he needs to break into the local music scene.<br><br>Randy Blake is Dane's idol, a small-town musician with a sound Dane likes. When Blake asks Dane to stop by sometime, maybe have a private jam session, Dane is ecstatic. But it seems Blake has something other than music on his mind.<br><br>Krish struggles with jealousy -- he knows Blake would help advance Dane's music, but Krish just can't trust the man. A more pressing question, though, is can he trust Dane when his lover seems blinded by his idol?

So it’s a little disappointing when Randy’s fingers ease into his lap and the musician whispers, “One reason, Dane. To get laid.”


Dane stares at him, dumbfounded. To get—wait.That can’t be right, he heard wrong, that can’t be it. Randy’s smile widens at the disbelief written on Dane’s face. To get laid.


Then Randy laughs, the rich sound that makes him mortal again, and Dane gets it—this is a joke, right? He’s kidding, that’s all, and Dane starts to laugh, too. A joke, nothing else, Randy’s simply trying to lighten the mood, that’s it. “Good reason, eh?”


Dane laughs again. He catches the hand in his lap before it can reach his crotch, and the fingers close over his with a vicious grip. Giving him a bawdy wink, Randy asks, “Would you like to hear a new song I’m working on?”
