The church slowly began to

fill with people, Paul recognising only a few of them.

The choir entered through

a side door, Paul spotted Trevor in his white surplice with a red

high ruffled collar. As the choir took their seats the congregation

quieted.

“I am the resurrection and

the life saith the Lord; he that believeth in me, though he were

dead, yet shall he live.” The vicar walked up the aisle followed by

the coffin, which was being pushed along on some trolley

contraption.
