the memories

"Come on, we have to go back to the hotel. Mama hasn't finished packing and preparing clothes to wear tomorrow to your graduation. Finally, my mom's daughter can graduate from college." Mama instruct at me in her exaggerated style.

"Mom, it seems like mama wishes I wouldn't graduate from college?" My face scowled at the comments from my mother.

"Pa, go settle the bill. I should go to bed fast tonight. " my mother told my father who was drinking his warm tea. My father, who was always listening to all my mother commands, immediately stood up before Abi stopped him.

"Uncle, I've all paid for everything..." Abi speaks to papa and mama while he signals Ario to pay all the dinner bills.

"You should get used to calling father to your future in-laws. Thank you," Papa said as he returned to his chair.

"Mr Abi, you said that you will pay for the bill. How can Ario pay for all the bills? Are you taking credit for someone else work or money?" I immediately satirized my future husband. Bella immediately signalled to me by nudging my thigh.

"You know that you just need to stop" Abi replied to me in his usual cold tone.

As soon as I replied, everyone had stood up and left me alone. Only Abi patiently sat next to my chair and waited for me.

We walked back to the hotel where my parents are staying in the tourist centre area of Sydney. Mr Abi made a reservation for both my parents and Bella at one of the five-star hotels. He even put them in the hotel's most expensive suite.

"Abi, are you sure to share a room with Laras? If it is inconvenient for you then Father can open another room for Laras" Mama spoke to my future husband in the lobby area.

"Mom... What does all this mean?" I was wide-eyed at my mother's words.

"Mom, my suite has two separate rooms so let Laras sleep in that room. I deliberately booked the presidential suite with two rooms so that I could share with my fiancé," Abi replied politely.

"Okay then. Mom and Dad went up first." My mom left me alone with Abi in the lobby. He even led me towards the elevator area.

We got into the elevator when I was just alone with Abi. His cute and handsome face fascinated me. I have to admit that Mr Abi face is looking like one of the actors from South Korea.

"How long do you want to admire me?" asked Abi, wiping my lips with tissue from his jacket pocket.

"Mr Abi, what are you doing?" I scream to his action who like to tease me.

"It's your own fault to drool after seeing my face. Do not call me sir or mister! You make yourself as my daughter and I do not have the intention to marry my own daughter," Abi protested to my way of calling which determine to call him my father.

We reached the presidential suite reservation by Abi. There is a spacious family room with views towards the Sydney Opera House and harbour bridge in the distance. The sight of Darling Harbour at night made me stand next to the window looking at the view I would miss. I did not realise my tears came down to the memories of the last three years. Abi saw me immediately grabbing me into his arms. He eloped my body from the back and it gives me a warm and safe feeling.
