After that day I visited the Weasley residence a few times in the week before we head off back to Hogwarts. Old Blood managed to get the egg back to me the day before I head back to school, I put it in the desert portion of the suitcase. Old Blood said that it could hatch in a day or seventy years, maybe even not at all, but he said there is no way to find out.

I don't care very much, I spent a lot of my time at the Burrow showing Charlie the animals he would be taking care of. I also got to see how much Ron has improved at quidditch, I have to admit, he isn't bad. Also, Hermione got a cat, quite an ugly thing but it's quite nice.

On the day we are going back to Hogwarts I 'wake up' early and get my stuff ready. I have decided that Enki and Gilg won't be going into the suitcase, instead, they will stay with Sin. I am not sure if they are supposed to act this way, but they sleep the majority of the time they are on my shoulders.

I do feel a bit bad that I've given Sis even more work, stealing criminals from Azkaban really got them riled up. But hey, I needed more sacrifices to expand my territory. Now the area around Darkness Falls is about two square miles, a far cry from the one square kilometer it used to be.

I have one of my smarter dementors set to feed the prisoners twice a day. Their cells are far nicer in my tower than they were in Azkaban, Sid was pretty twisted after all. They even got magic toilets, what more can you ask for?

Heading downstairs I see Uncle is getting ready for work while auntie is sitting in the lounge chair reading.

"Morning," I say grabbing their attention.

"Ah, Soren, you're up early, excited to go back to school?"

I shrug as uncle, "I would be lying if I said no, why are you going to work so early?"

He sighs as he fixes his tie, "A case against firebolt again, I swear, no respect for the flight permit."

I smirk at his bureaucratic attitude, "Yeah, who would do things in England without a permit?" says the person who habitually does apparition without a permit and also owns a dragon without a permit, and a Nundu.

Uncle gives me a small smirk as he pulls me into a hug, "I will see you on Christmas break, love you, Soren."

I give him a tight hug back, "Love you too Uncle."

He turns around and gives Auntie a kiss before stepping into the fireplace, "Ministry of Magic." He speaks clearly as he throws floo powder on the ground and vanishes in green flames.

Auntie gives me a smile as she sets down her book, "Do you want breakfast?"

I nod, "Yeah, but I need to put Luar in the briefcase first."

Auntie stands up as she walks to the kitchen, "You don't need to help, it will probably be done before you get back inside."

"Thank you," I say as I walk out the back door.

Luar is laying on her side basking in the morning sun. I smile as she doesn't seem to notice me for a change. I use my shroud to carry myself above the gate as to not make any noise. Setting myself next to Luar I get a wide grin.

I use both hands to scratch her side causing her to wiggle on the ground. Her large head turns to me and she gets up excitedly. Gilg quickly slithers to my other shoulder as Luar sets her head on the shoulder he was on.

I grin as I pat her neck, from my shroud I use one hand to pull out the briefcase. I gently let her head off my shoulder as I set the briefcase down on the ground and open it. I have already set aside a large area with a grassland with a small forest for Luar. I plan to get another Unicorn and a Thestral so she will be less lonely.

Newt has already shown me how to make the briefcase lead to specific areas and I've already shown Luar her area so she happily hops in the case. With her in the case I put it away and head back inside for breakfast.

After eating eggs, toast, and leftover ham Auntie and I drive to Kingscross. At this point, it is more of a ritual; just like last year I sit in the back seat with Shy, Arthur, Sin, but this time I have Gilg and Enki as well.

For being a cat Arthur sure is good to other animals, for most of the car ride, he slept on Sin with Gilg and Enki coiled next to him. Shy happily claimed a spot on my shoulder, jealous as always.

As I put my suitcase full of stuff inside the storage area of the train I keep the briefcase with me. Auntie pulls me into a hug as I am about to leave.

"I love you Soren, have a fantastic school year."

I smile as I hug her back, "Love you too Auntie, I will."

As I pull away she gives me a kiss on my forehead and my face flushes red.

She laughs seeing my reaction, I quickly turn away, "Bye Auntie," as I turn around I see a familiar face farthing my embarrassment.

"Hi Luna," I say to the girl who is already smiling at me.

"Good morning Soren."

Stepping inside the train she follows me to my compartment so I accept my fate, "So did your dad not come with you? I didn't see him."

She shakes her head, "No, he was there."

Seeing she isn't continuing her words I try to keep the conversation going, "How has the Quibbler been going?"

She smiles, "Good."

I sigh seeing that she again isn't going to continue her words. Rather than trying again I set my arms on the suitcase and lean my head against the window.

Only a minute or so later I hear a knock on the compartment door, Neville, "May I?" he asks gesturing to the seat next to me.

"Of course," I say looking at Luna who nods in agreement.

Neville seems happy as he sits next to me, his eyes are drawn to the briefcase, "What do you have that for?"

I smile, "It's the briefcase that Newt Scamander got me. It has a few magical creatures inside."

Neville seems surprised but not very curious, "Can I meet them?" I turn to Luna who is looking at the suitcase with an eager gaze.

'So this is what she likes,' I think to myself.

"Sure, can you watch the briefcase for us?" I ask Neville.

"Uh, yeah, I can," he says with his usual lack of confidence.

I take his word as I open the briefcase showing the dark inside, "Well then follow me, Luna, watch your step, it's a ladder."

'Good thing I didn't feed them this morning,' I think to myself as I carefully step onto the ladder entrance.
