First Morning as a Married Couple

"Good morning, my lady."

Ercilia had barely begun to twist when she heard those words.

Her eyes fluttered open before she even got the chance to take them in. She blinked a few times, a feeling of heaviness tugging at her heart as she shifted through a pair of strong arms that were wrapped tightly around her waist. She then turns to the owner of that deep, husky tone that's being nothing but painfully familiar.

Iorwerth was laying on his side, facing Ercilia.

His gaze lit up hopefully as they made eye contact. He let out a sigh of bliss and contentment. Her breath got caught in her throat at that moment. It then wanted to relax seeing that he was doing the same. She knew it would only take the smallest of things to shift his mood.

"Did you sleep well?" he asked, leaning in close and nuzzling his face to hers – the action somewhat feline.

"Good morning. Yes, I did," she echoed a lie – she never slept well, especially with him around.
