Little Tea Party

"It's nothing," Delaney sighed. "Just making sure you still have all your limbs."

Iorwerth rolls his eyes, more than aware that he can't tell her about his ordeal. It wasn't part of the plan, and besides, her innate sensibility would ensure a slew of criticisms of his actions, so instead, he decided to leave his post, once again sauntering across the rooftop. Delaney immediately stops him, however, throwing in a stern reminder.

"Just what exactly did you come here for?" Delaney asked. "I've already gotten a signal. Stop wandering around. It's about to start."

He was about to say something in response but was suddenly cut off by the sound of a loud explosion. The sky light up a fiery crimson, the ground below swimming in flames. He was silent for some time as everyone else hurried off to the terrace to see what happened.

And then, a crooked smile.

"I guess it's time for our own party to begin."
