Not Quite Like the Expected Reunion

It looks like one bloody mess, and in the middle of it all is Meir.

Thump. Thump. Thump.

She sees Delaney pull out a gun, grinning in anticipation. Meir groans, so soft it almost feels unreal. 

Thump. Thump. Thump.

At that moment, all Ercilia can see is red. She continues to run as fast as possible while she dodges walls after walls of fire at the same time. Not too long, Ercilia makes it at last. 

Thump. Thump. Thump. 

Her heartbeat stays frantic, however. It pounds and races, heightening her senses. 

"Well, if it isn't you, Ercilia," cooed Delaney, having immediately noticed Ercilia. "Took you long enough to show up."

"Why are you doing this?" Ercilia hissed, tone and expression dark. "Why, Delaney?"

"Oh, you know~ Not everyone managed to get out of that hell. I was not as fortunate as the likes of you. So, yeah, here I am~"
